Baby Shark, one of the most popular children’s songs, has reached a great milestone.

The children’s song became the first video to be viewed 10 billion times on YouTube. Pinkfong, the creator of the Baby Shark video, confirmed the milestone in a Twitter post.

As of Friday morning, the video had been viewed an additional 8.7 million times after crossing the 10 billion mark.

YouTube celebrated the milestone with a familiar message on Twitter: “ten billion views doo doo doo doo doo doo doo.”

The “Baby Shark” video was released in 2016 and has been a big hit among teens ever since. Three years later, the song became so popular that it entered the top 40 of the Billboard Hot 100 rankings. In 2020, “Baby Shark” became the most watched video on YouTube, reports Acesparks.

The song recently became a new life as a joke in the Emmy-winning football comedy Ted Lasso. When Richmond AFC striker Jamie Tartt (Phil Dunster) showed great play, fans: “Jamie Tartt, du du du du du du.”
