At Arsenal according to reports in the summer, Brighton and Howe Albion agreed to buy defender Ben White for £ 50m. The Gunners had previously rejected two offers by the Shakers. But Sky Sports have reported that Brighton have now accepted Arsenal’s third offer of £ 50million.
Under Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta, the 2020-21 season was a failure. They finished eighth in the league and were left out of the European arena for the first time in 25 years.
After a disastrous season, experienced defender David Luiz was seen leaving. The young French center-back William Saliba has been further cut short on loan to Marseille for the upcoming season.
There are gaps in Arsenal’s back line at the moment, and their north London shirt has identified Ben White as one of the possible targets to fill the gap.
Ben White has become one of the young stars of the APL
Ben White had a great season with Brighton in the 2020-21 season. The young English defender made his Premier League debut for the Dougs last season.
White joined Brighton in 2014 as an academy player. He was only 16 at the time and played on the reserve team for the next few seasons, mixing with a few creatures in the lower division.
His big break came in the 2019-20 season, when he played in the championship at Leeds United. He helped Marcelo Bielsa’s team win the championship until he returned to Brighton last summer.
The white is well-equipped in the Premier League and has amazed everyone with his overall performance. The 23-year-old was in command on defense and showed great restraint in getting the ball from behind.
His consistently good performances have attracted the attention of the APL’s biggest clubs, with Arsenal and Chelsea leading the way.

If the transfer goes through, Arsenal are hoping White will partner with Gabriel Magalaxes behind him. Neither player is able to get the ball out of the back, which is crucial for Arteta’s game plan at the Emirates next season.
