Hello, listeners. This is Bret Molina. Welcome to Talking Tech. My colleague Mike Snyder is not working today.

So who else is ready for the Apple event? The tech giant has confirmed that a virtual event will be held on October 18 so the company can showcase a new line of MacBook computers and a new set of AirPods. According to an offer sent to us by the media, including the event, the name of the event was “Unleashed”.

So what can you expect from this? Apple will probably unveil a new line of MacBook computers. According to a May report from Acesparks, the company plans to release models with faster processors and better connectivity to external devices. And it covers all Macs, so it’s not just the MacBook Pro. We’ll be looking at an update to the MacBook Air scene. Also, some Mac minis and Mac Pros we’ve seen before.

There are also rumors that Apple may release a new version of its AirPod wireless headphones. The last time we believed in their new version was in 2019, when they released the second generation AirPods and introduced us to AirPods Pro. So we’ll see. When Apple introduced the iPhone 13 last month, there were rumors that we wanted to see it, but that didn’t happen, and a lot of rumors point to a time when we could see it. looks like. We may get a new line of AirPods next week.

Obviously, this has a history. If you’re wondering if the MacBook seems to be the biggest choice for this event, last November Apple introduced a new line of MacBooks running on their personal chips, which is something their Macs are working on for the first time. . It has not been manufactured by Intel since 2005. Of course, you know, with the pandemic last year, everything went up. So the September event for the iPhone took place in October last year, then everything for the MacBook and Mac went from one month to November.

So, given that, maybe we’ll get these MacBooks. Maybe we’ll get an update to Mac OS and when the next version will come out. And then the big question is, what about AirPods? Are we seeing new AirPods? Are they waiting? We know for sure next week, October 18th. Stay tuned to tech.USAtoday.com for the latest news on the subject.
