“The boundaries between genres have been melting for a long time,” he said. “Indie music or alternative music is now a myth. It used to be that way.
“But working with Taylor – we had no external influence at all. There was never a time … even his recording company didn’t know [about the collaboration] a few days ago [release date]. There was no compromise on what we were doing. ”
Dessner also unveiled the “Red Car Big” track, written in honor of the evening Frightened rabbit frontman Scott Hutchison called it “asking for help when people need it.”
He said: “I struggled with depression. I lost my other friends. Whether or not someone comes out of the tail is a very thin line.
